Walking through the gardens is a pleasure and there are jogging tracks for those of you who feel like stepping up the pace and also areas for working out. - The hibiscus gardens where you can see the national flower known by the locals as “Bunga Raya” in all its glory.
- A boating house where you can hire a boat and go boating on the lake for an hour which is very peaceful and relaxing. The boating house is also the place to go if you are hungry or thirsty. They have a good selection from hot food to ice-cream and the prices are reasonable.
Another point of interest in the Lake Gardens is the Carcosa Seri Negara which used to be the official residence of the British Government. Now it is Malaysia’s most exclusive and expensive hotel. If you can’t afford to stay there it is worth a visit and maybe you will be able to stretch to enjoying one of their famous High Teas which includes all the favorites: scones, clotted, cream, jam and a lovely pot of English tea.
